Structured support — not just a space to share.

Each session integrates:
Psychoeducation — to help you understand your emotional patterns
Mind-Body Tools — tools to regulate overwhelm
Guided Reflection & Journaling for deeper processing
A consistent group experience that builds safety and connection over time

This isn’t just about expressing emotions — it’s about learning how to understand and work with them in a more supported, intentional way.

How this group works

What to know before you join.

The structure

This is a closed, therapist-led group — meaning the same participants meet together every week for 12 weeks. That consistency is intentional. It's what allows real safety and trust to develop.

You'll meet with the same small group each week — 4 to 6 people
Sessions are structured and progressive — each one builds on the last
You are never forced to share — but you are gently supported to participate at your own pace
Your facilitator guides every session with clinical intention — you won't be left to figure it out
A typical session

What you can expect each week.

1
Grounding or regulation exercise — we open by settling the nervous system before anything else.
2
Guided discussion or theme — a clinician-led focus that gives the session direction and intention.
3
Space for processing and reflection — room to respond, share, or simply sit with what's coming up.
4
Practical tools for the week — you leave with something concrete you can actually use.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

This isn’t a one-time conversation—it’s a 12-week process.

Over the course of the group, you’ll begin to:

Experience your emotions in real time — not just talk about them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ SECTION

Do I have to share in an emotional wellness group?

No — you are always in control of what you share and how much. Participation is encouraged and gently supported, but never required.

What happens if I miss an emotional wellness group session?

Life happens. We ask that you let your facilitator know in advance when possible — the group notices when someone is absent, and your facilitator will help you stay connected to the process.

Is this different from individual therapy?

Yes — this group allows you to learn in real time with others, feel less alone, and practice emotional awareness in a relational setting.

Does insurance cover group therapy?

We don't accept insurance directly for group therapy. We may be able to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement, and we're happy to talk through financial options during your consultation.

How do I know if this group is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or unsure how to manage what you’re feeling, this group can offer a different kind of support.

This group is especially helpful if you want both structure and guidance — a space where you can better understand your emotions, learn how to regulate them, and feel less alone in the process.

You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear starting point. Just a sense that something isn’t working — and a willingness to explore it — is enough. A consultation can help you decide if this feels like the right fit.

Can I join after the group has started?

Because this is a closed group, we don't add new participants once it begins. This protects the safety and continuity of everyone in the room.

How do I get started?

Schedule a consultation. We'll take time to understand where you are and help you determine whether this group is the right fit.

I have more questions — how can I reach you?

Reach us anytime at info@kulawellnessgroup.com, by phone at (770) 750-4001, or through our contact page.

The hardest part is reaching out. We'll take it from there.

If you are in Georgia and considering grief group therapy, we’re here to help you take the next step. You don’t need to have it figured out — just a sense that you’re ready for some support. We’ll help you determine if this group is the right fit.
