You understand your patterns.
And you're still struggling.

If you've done therapy before and still feel stuck — that gap between knowing and feeling, between insight and change — is one of the most disorienting places to be. You've read the books. You've done the work. You can explain your patterns with clarity. And yet something in your body keeps responding the same way.

This isn't a failure of willpower or effort. It's a signal that healing needs to go somewhere words alone haven't reached — into the nervous system, the body, and the deeper patterns beneath the story.

That's exactly where somatic therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed care begin.

Healing that touches all of you.

We work with the whole system — not just the part that talks. Our approach integrates three interconnected layers.

The Mind

Therapy & EMDR in Atlanta

Working with thoughts, beliefs, and the stories you carry — using structured approaches like EMDR and CBT to process what talk alone can't reach.

The Body

Somatic therapy & nervous system care

Stress and trauma live in the body. Somatic and body-based approaches help your nervous system finally feel safe — so healing isn't just conceptual.

The Life

Integration & real-world application

How healing translates into your relationships, parenting, work, and daily rhythms — because that's where it actually matters.

Built from a gap we both felt.

We came to this work from two directions — mental health and movement. As licensed therapists and experienced fitness professionals, we kept seeing the same thing in the people we worked with: they were trying. Hard. And the work still wasn't connecting in the way they needed it to.

Therapy addressed the mind. Fitness addressed the body. But rarely did the two meet in a way that honored how deeply they're linked — how trauma lives in posture, how anxiety shapes breath, how the nervous system holds what words have tried for years to release.

We started asking: what if we built something different? A practice where somatic work, EMDR, and traditional therapy weren't separate lanes — but one integrated approach. Where clients weren't just understood intellectually, but felt met in their whole experience.

Kula grew out of that question. We built it together — not as a directory of services, but as a community with a shared intention: healing that reaches all the way in.

Why we show up every day.

Kula Wellness Group promotes positive change by catalyzing self-discovery — through accountability, empowerment, and a dynamic range of services that foster both mental and physical health.

What we're building toward.

We envision a world of enlightened individuals committed to the betterment of themselves and their communities — rooted in the balance of mind and body, connected to their core selves, and acting with intention to create positive change across the lifespan. And as they heal, they carry that strength into the world around them.

What we stand for.

These aren't wall decorations. They shape how we hire, how we show up with clients, and how we make every decision as a practice.

We provide a wide range of holistic therapies designed to nurture the mind, revitalize the body, and support your overall well-being.

Diversity & Belonging

We foster a culture of co-creation where everyone's unique perspectives and contributions are respected and celebrated.

Safety

We prioritize integrity and trust in all aspects of our business to ensure the wellbeing of our clients and community.

Self-Embodiment

We offer transformative practices that empower individuals to connect to personal growth and alignment to reach their full potential.

Kula.

In Sanskrit, Kula means community — clan, tribe, village. It carries warmth. A sense of belonging and connection. Something you're a part of, not just adjacent to.

Our name holds two intentions: the connection we have with each other in this community, and the connection we cultivate within ourselves — between mind and body. Both are at the core of everything we do.

All of you is welcome here.

Our community accepts all bodies, genders, identities, faiths, and lifestyles. We're committed to creating spaces where every person can show up authentically — without having to shrink, explain, or perform. You don't have to earn your place here.

Common Questions

Answers to what you might be wondering.

What types of therapy does Kula Wellness Group offer?

Kula Wellness Group offers trauma-informed individual therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), somatic therapy, play therapy for children, and group therapy. We see individuals, children, teens, families, and adults at all life stages — in person in Decatur and Peachtree Corners, GA, and virtually across Georgia.

Do you offer therapy for children and families?

Yes. We offer play therapy and family-focused counseling for young children, as well as therapy for teens, adolescents, and parents. Our therapists are trained to work with the whole family system — not just the individual — because we know that healing is relational.

What is somatic therapy?

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing that works with the nervous system directly — not just the thinking mind. It recognizes that stress, trauma, and emotional patterns are held in the body, and uses techniques like breathwork, body awareness, and movement to support release and regulation. At Kula, somatic work is woven into our broader trauma-informed approach.

What is EMDR therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation — such as guided eye movements — to help the brain reprocess stuck memories. Several of our therapists at Kula are EMDR-trained and offer this as part of their work.

Who is therapy at Kula a good fit for?

Kula is a strong fit for people who feel stuck despite having insight — high-functioning individuals, women, parents, and professionals navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, or relational patterns. We also work with children, teens, and families. If you've tried therapy before and felt like something was still missing, our mind-body approach is designed for exactly that experience.

Do you offer virtual therapy in Georgia?

Yes. In addition to in-person therapy at our Decatur and Peachtree Corners offices, we offer virtual therapy to clients across the state of Georgia. Telehealth sessions are available for individual therapy, and select group offerings are held virtually as well.

You don't have to have it figured out.

Something brought you here — and that matters. Whether you're ready to book or just want to learn more, the next step is simple.

No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation to see if this feels right.
