GROUPS & WORKSHOPS • KULA WELLNESS GROUP

Healing can happen in community — and learning can too.

Kula offers both therapist-led therapy groups and experiential workshops. Some spaces are designed for ongoing clinical work and connection; others offer education, reflection, nervous-system support, or a chance to experience something new.

TWO DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES

Choose the kind of support that fits what you need right now.

Therapy groups and workshops can both create meaningful experiences, but they serve different purposes. You do not have to know exactly which one is right before exploring.

THERAPY GROUPS

A consistent space to do deeper work with others who get it.

Kula therapy groups are clinician-led and designed for people who want more than a one-time experience. Groups may focus on a shared life experience, emotional pattern, identity, transition, or area of healing.

HOW DO I CHOOSE?

Think about the kind of experience you want.

G

A therapy group may fit if…

You want an ongoing space to process, build skills, receive clinical support, and grow alongside people navigating a related experience.

W

A workshop may fit if…

You want to learn or experience something specific, prefer a lower-commitment format, or are curious about a wellness practice before deciding what comes next.

+

Both can fit.

A workshop can complement therapy, and a therapy group can exist alongside individual care. The right combination depends on your needs, goals, and the specific offering.

WHY COMMUNITY MATTERS

Sometimes being witnessed changes the work.

One-to-one therapy can offer depth and privacy. Community spaces offer something different: the experience of realizing that another person understands, that a struggle is not yours alone, and that growth can happen while being in relationship with others.

That does not mean every group or workshop is the right fit for every person. We design offerings intentionally and explain the format, purpose, eligibility, and expectations for each experience.

i
A NOTE ABOUT FORMAT

Not every Kula community offering is psychotherapy.

Therapy groups are clinical services led by qualified clinicians. Workshops may be educational, experiential, or wellness-focused rather than psychotherapy. Each offering explains what it is, who it is designed for, and what participation includes.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What people often want to know about Kula groups and workshops.

What is the difference between a therapy group and a workshop?
Therapy groups are clinical services led by qualified therapists and are designed for ongoing therapeutic work. Workshops are typically educational or experiential and may be offered as a single event or short series. Each offering includes specific information about its format.
Do I have to be a current Kula therapy client to join?
Not necessarily. Eligibility varies by offering. Some therapy groups may involve a screening or enrollment process, while many workshops are open more broadly. Check the individual group or workshop listing for details.
Are Kula therapy groups virtual?
Many Kula therapy groups are offered virtually for eligible Georgia residents. The current groups page lists the specific format and eligibility for each group.
What kinds of topics do Kula groups cover?
Group topics vary and may include grief, parenthood, identity, emotional regulation, relationships, mental health, life transitions, and other shared experiences.
What kinds of workshops does Kula offer?
Workshop topics can include sound baths, mindfulness, nervous-system education, coping tools, experiential wellness practices, and other educational or community-centered experiences.
Can I attend a workshop while I am also in therapy?
Often, yes. Workshops may complement therapy, though they are not a substitute for psychotherapy when clinical care is needed. Review the specific offering and talk with your therapist if you are unsure whether it fits your treatment plan.
How do I find what is currently enrolling or scheduled?
Visit Kula's Therapy Groups page for current and forming clinical groups, and the Workshops page for scheduled educational and experiential offerings.
