THIS GROUP MAY BE FOR YOU IF...

You’re trying to make room for both motherhood and yourself.

Motherhood keeps changing — and so do you. This group is not only for new moms. It is for women at any stage who want space to understand who they are inside and beyond caregiving.

You love your children and still miss parts of who you were before motherhood.
You are parenting babies, children, teens, or young adults and feel like your identity keeps shifting.
You feel guilt, resentment, loneliness, overstimulation, or pressure — sometimes alongside deep gratitude.
You want to understand your own needs without immediately labeling them selfish.
Your friendships, partnership, work, body, family roles, or sense of belonging have changed.
You want to feel more connected to yourself while still being deeply connected to your children.

You do not have to choose between being a loving mother and being a whole person.

MOTHERHOOD HOLDS A LOT OF BOTH / AND

More than one thing can be true at the same time.

I can love my childrenANDmiss parts of my old life.
I can care deeply for themANDneed care myself.
I can be a motherANDstill be an individual.
I can feel gratefulANDfeel overwhelmed.
WHAT MAKES THIS GROUP DIFFERENT

The focus is not becoming a “better mom.” It is making room for you.

This therapist-led group centers the mother as a whole person — with an identity, body, nervous system, relationships, needs, grief, joy, and future that matter too.

Reconnect With Yourself

Explore the parts of you that existed before motherhood, the parts that changed, and the parts of you that are still emerging.

Hold the Both / And

Make room for love and resentment, gratitude and grief, closeness and the need for space — without turning complexity into shame.

Understand Your Nervous System

Notice how caregiving, overstimulation, emotional labor, pressure, and chronic responsibility show up in your body and reactions.

Find Belonging Again

Connect with other mothers who understand the complexity of being deeply devoted to your family while still needing a life that feels like your own.

WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE TOGETHER

A 12-week journey toward integration, not “getting the old you back.”

The goal is not to return to who you were before motherhood. It is to make space for who you are now — and who you still want to become.

01

Who am I now?

Explore identity, belonging, expectations, and the transition between who you were and who you are becoming.

Weeks 1–2
02

The body that carries everyone

Understand overstimulation, emotional labor, chronic responsibility, rest, and the nervous-system cost of always being “on.”

Weeks 3–4
03

The grief inside the change

Make room for endings and losses that can coexist with love — freedom, time, body, career, relationships, spontaneity, and former versions of self.

Weeks 5–6
04

Guilt, resentment & the “good mom” story

Explore perfectionism, comparison, invisible expectations, boundaries, and the belief that your needs automatically take something away from your family.

Weeks 7–8
05

Relationships & belonging

Look at partnership changes, friendships, loneliness, family roles, asking for support, and staying connected without disappearing.

Weeks 9–10
06

Integrating mother + self

Reclaim joy, values, identity, self-compassion, and a future that includes motherhood without asking motherhood to contain every part of you.

Weeks 11–12

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions are welcome.

You do not have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. These are some of the questions mothers may have before joining.

What is a moms therapy group?
A moms therapy group is a therapist-led space where mothers can explore their own emotional experience, identity, relationships, nervous-system stress, boundaries, belonging, and the ways motherhood has changed their lives. This group centers the mother as a whole person, not only as a caregiver.
Is this group only for new or postpartum moms?
No. This group is designed for mothers at any stage of the mothering journey. Your children may be babies, school-age children, teens, young adults, or older. The focus is the ongoing experience of motherhood and how your own identity continues to change alongside it.
What if my children are older?
You are still welcome. Motherhood does not stop changing once the postpartum years end. Many mothers notice new identity shifts as children become more independent, relationships change, caregiving demands evolve, or long-held questions about self and belonging become more visible.
Is this a parenting class?
No. This group is not focused on teaching you how to parent your child. The focus is you — your identity, emotions, nervous system, relationships, boundaries, needs, grief, joy, and experience of motherhood.
What kinds of issues do moms talk about in group therapy?
Topics may include identity changes, overstimulation, emotional labor, guilt, resentment, perfectionism, grief for parts of your pre-motherhood life, partnership and friendship changes, loneliness, boundaries, belonging, rest, self-compassion, and reconnecting with interests and values outside of caregiving.
What if I love being a mom but still miss my old life?
Both can be true. Loving your children does not erase the losses and changes that can come with motherhood. This group makes room for gratitude, grief, love, frustration, connection, and longing without treating those experiences as contradictions.
Do I have to share personal things in the group?
You are encouraged to participate, but you remain in control of what you share and how much. The facilitator supports participation at a pace that allows safety, trust, and choice to build over time.
How is this different from a regular moms support group?
This is a therapist-led group with a structured 12-week process. In addition to connection with other mothers, sessions include guided themes, nervous-system awareness, reflection, clinical support, and practical tools designed to help you understand and integrate your experience of motherhood.
Can I join the moms therapy group online in Georgia?
Yes. The group is virtual and available to eligible participants across Georgia. Participants should plan to join from a private location where they can engage confidentially in the group.
How long is the group and what does it cost?
The group meets weekly for 60 minutes over 12 weeks. The rate is $35 per session through December 31, 2026. Pricing will increase in 2027. The day and time for the next cycle will be announced once enrollment is finalized.
How do I join the next moms therapy group?
The next group is currently forming. Schedule a discovery call so Kula can learn what you are looking for, answer your questions, and determine whether the group is an appropriate fit.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN YOURSELF AND MOTHERHOOD.

There is room for both of you.

Motherhood may always be part of who you are. It does not have to become all of who you are. This group gives you space to reconnect with yourself, be understood by other mothers, and explore what it means to belong to your own life again.
